My Favorite Paysite Tours
I’m sure we’ve all went through a ton of paysite tours. Some are great, some suck, and some are just completely bizarre. There isn’t one tried and true formula for a great paysite tour (and if there was one, surfers would get bored because everything would look the same), but here are a few that stood out in particular to me.
Scar13 - A few things made this distinctive. First is Scar13 herself - she’s an absolutely beautiful goth. Plus she’s groping Voltaire, who is my absolute favorite model anywhere. The other distinctive part of this tour is the running interview. It really lets me see her as more than just a pretty goth girl, and I love to see that in a site.
Mikey and Mandy - This tour really shows the site’s character - crazy, ecletic, and a grab bag of porn fun. The only thing I can really complain about is although they are below the fold, the traffic leaks are rather extensive.
Erotic Destinations - There’s just something about this site that I find absolutely enchanting, and that’s reflected through the tour. The indepth model profiles gives me a look behind the scenes, which is another thing that I personally love.
Simonscans - They do a lot of things right here: They have a really distinctive writing style, they tell you exactly what you should be expecting inside, and they have a design that’s different from the mass produced template sites.
Liz Vicious - The traffic leak with the pop behind window full of links to other sites (some Jayman’s, but others on different programs) probably won’t be noticed until after the tour. It’s still a traffic leak though, and an annoying one at that.
Other than that, I absolutely love the way this tour is set up. The design really works well with her naughty goth style and the content of the tour is set up more like a regular site. The menu navigation seems to tie it all together nicely. It probably helps that I love her look and the art style of the site. :)
Teen Dreams - This tour tells you exactly what to expect, and the magazine cover style pictures is a nice little touch. The member’s area tour is a neat concept that I’d like to see more often.
MPL Studios - Clean and simple design helps to show off their gorgeous models. I personally think a 20 page tour is a bit much, but I’m the obessive compulsive type that likes to go all the way to the end (I don’t like to miss anything!).
I’d have to dock a point on my imaginary scorecard for the traffic leaks onthe first three or so tour pages. I can overlook the links page (although I don’t think it’s good to have any temptation to send affiliate traffic off to other sites that they don’t get credit for), but the links tip section is a bit much.
Shayla Model - The cute little diary works well with playing into the site theme and the teen niche in particular.
Diesel Action (not a paysite tour, but really neat design on the affiliate site) - Awesome horizontal scrolling site done right. I love it!
Muse - Distinctive tour style for a distinctive site - they go for a show not tell approach in what you’re getting inside, and it works very well throughout the entire tour.
Bailey’s Room - The tour theme, design, and flow work really well together. It’s a great mix of colors and design elements for a solo teen site, and there’s enough touches of personality to really rope surfers in.
This list is not comprehensive obviously - I only wish I had the time to see everything. It’s also my own personal opinion, what works for me (especially as a woman) might not work for someone else.
